Maureen Smith and David Kalthschmidt waited two months
before announcing their 1/3 winning share of the $1.5B Powerball jackpot on
January 13 to the public.
Smith shared the difficulty they had to go through as they
kept the news of the big win a secret from friends and family. John and Lisa
Robinson of Tennessee did quite the opposite when they quickly went to the
media and the Today Show to announce that they were, in fact, one of three
$1.5B Powerball winners.
One ticket-holder from Chino Hills, California has yet to come
forward and claim their share.
Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot has grown to $116M with a
$75.6M lump sum payment. The next drawing will be on Wednesday, March 30, 2016.
You can play to win the Powerball from
anywhere in the world here.
