Retired papermill worker won $100,000 on a scratch card

David Coman, retired paper mill worker from Canton in Haywood County won $100,000 top prize on holiday-themed Greetings of Gold scratch ticket.

He always ask the clerk to pick his ticket for him for good luck.

“I had to read it a few times,” Coman said. “It still hasn’t soaked in yet, but it feels good.”

He plans on paying his bills and save for the future.
