Lottery Officials Say American Powerball To Produce Jackpots of $500 Million – Or More!

American Powerball officials are enthusiastic that the recent $336.4 Million jackpot won by a single ticket holder from Rhode Island could be just the tip of the iceberg. Powerball organizers are predicting top prizes of $500 million or even a massive $1,000,000,000 to surprise all of us in the near future.

Saturday's $336.4 Million jackpot — worth about $210 million as a lump-sum payment — is the sixth largest lottery win in U.S. History. However, Tennessee Lottery Director Rebecca Paul Hargrove, who heads the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) says had no one won Saturday's draw the Powerball jackpot would have swelled to a record $415 Million this Wednesday.

"Can the jackpot in the new game hit $1 billion? In this game design, it is predicted to happen about once in 10 years," said MUSL director Chuck Strutt in a USA Today interview.

Powerball is offered in 42 states, Washington, D.C., and the Virgin Islands. MUSL, a coalition of several states, tweaked Powerball in January to make it more exciting. The minimum top payout was doubled to $40 million, the number of potential $1 million prizes was also increased, and the odds of winning the top prize were lowered to 1 in 176 million — from 1 in 195 million.

So if you're looking for the perfect opportunity to start an American Powerball subscription, this is definitely it. Jackpots are rising fast and your chances of winning that next massive lottery prize is as good as anyone else's.
