Kentucky Lottery Sales Increase $5.4M Year-Over-Year

Sales of Kentucky Lottery tickets increased by year on year. Compared to the same period last year, the lottery had a 2 percent increase in sales for the period of July to October 2010.

During the board meeting in Louisville on Thursday, lottery directors were also given a briefing on the Powerball changes starting in January. The prize of the Powerball ticket will double to $2, at the same time the starting jackpot will also double to $40 million. The second prize will also increase to $1 million.
