Ontario Lottery Tries To Recover Insider Win

The Ontario Lottery has been trying to recover $12.5 million dollars from an insider win from a family which encashed collected the ticket seven years ago. In 2004, Kathleen Chung claimed the jackpot prize with a Lotto Super 7 ticket. The Police allege that the ticket was stole the ticket in 2003 from the real winners who validated the ticket at the Chung’s Variety Plus store.
After a lengthy study of the financial trail, the Chungs were charged with a lawsuit filed by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLGC). Included in the lawsuit were Kathleen Chung, her family and other associates for “deliberately deceiving” the lottery.
