6-year old girl wins the Royal Wedding Lottery

April 29, 2011 was the day of the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton and most folks in Britain have been either tuned-in to their television sets or have gone out to join the celebration, but only a select few have had the opportunity of receiving a special invitation.

A very lucky young, disabled 6-year old girl, Hermione Sutton, received a surprise through the post.  She won a golden ticket from the Royal Wedding Lottery that her mother entered her in, as little Hermione was obsessed with princesses and fairytale fantasy.   The golden ticket enabled her to receive a special invite to attend the Royal Wedding to the delight of all her family.

Hermione suffers from a genetic disorder named Prader-Willi syndrome, which can cause intellectual disabilities, making it hard for her to stand or walk for long periods.  The Royal family had reserved seats for guests with disabilities, and although it seemed like a long shot, Mrs. Sutton decided to apply for the tickets in the hope that her little girl's dream would come true.

You may not be able to attend the royal wedding, however, you may be able to get the chance of winning in the UK National Lottery via OSA.  UK Lotto draws are held twice weekly and offer 5 different ways to win.

Warren Buffett: World's 3rd Richest Man

The world's third richest man, next to Bill Gates and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, a conglomerate with an annual revenue of over $136 Billion. Warren Buffett is not only a very successful investor and businessman, but also a philanthropist that despite his amassing of billions of Dollars, is still very much a down-to-earth, and frugal individual when it comes to his personal life.

He is said not to socialise with the high society crowds but instead, drives his own car to the same home he has had for years, in a small 3 bedroom house in mid-town Omaha that he bought when he got married 50 years ago, and spends his relaxing times at home eating popcorn he makes himself and watching television.

When asked about leaving his material wealth behind as he has once pledged to give away 99 percent of his fortune to charity, he once commented, "I want to give my kids just enough so that they would feel that they could do anything, but not so much that they would feel like doing nothing".

He has inspired many future entrepreneurs by both his business and personal ethics, and his views on how best to handle wealth.

The National Lottery: Back of the Sofa Week

There is currently £9 Million worth of unclaimed prizes in the UK National Lottery that the organisation has now had to launch a National "Back of the Sofa" Week, urging players to look behind places like sofas, tables, cabinets, in case they might find a missing winning ticket.  Apparently, some lottery players have found their winning lotto tickets in places like make-up bags, underneath dog baskets, and in car sun visors.

A huge bus decorated in a lottery theme will be driving around the areas of Plymouth, Leeds, Blackburn, Oxfordshire, and Stoke since the jackpots of up to £1 million still remain unclaimed in these areas.

"From our experience with unclaimed prizes, the sofa isn't the only hiding place where players have found their winning tickets.
"Buried in coat pockets, in cupboards and even down the back of the kitchen drawer could be your chance to claim a life-changing amount of money." says one lottery spokesperson.UK National Lottery
